Öncelikle şunu belirtmek gerekiyor ki maalesef Joomla 1.5.x sürümlerini yükseltir bir güncelleme yapılamıyor. Joomla gelistiricilerinin kendine göre bir sürü bahaneleri var ama sonuçta Joomla 1.5.x sitenizi Joomla 1.6'ya yükseltemiyorsunuz, taşımak zorundasınız ki bu da bir sürü problemi beraberinde getirecektir. Joomla 1.0.x serisinden Joomla 1.5.x serisine yükseltirken oldukça zaman kaybı yaşamıştım. Joomla 1.6 kullanmak isteyenler bunu göze amak zorundalar!

Aşağıda size adım adım Joomla 1.6 ya nasıl taşıma yapacağınızı genel hatları ile yazacağım.Lütfen bütün adımları okuyup ne yaptığınızı iyice anlayınız ve kesinlikle herhangi bir işlemden önce sitenizin tam yedeğini (veritabanı ve dosyalar) alınız.

Joomla sürümğndeki 1.5 ile 1.6 nın yakınlığı kafanızı karıştırmasın. Joomla 1.6 bu haline 3 yılda geldi ve çok önemli adımlar attılar ve bundan sonraki 6 aylık aralarla 1.7, 1.8 çıkacak ve bunlar arasındaki yükseltme şimdiden planlanmış durumda ama 1.5 ten 1.6 ya siteyi taşımak zorundasınız.

Sitenizi taşımak için jUpgrade bileşenini kullanmak zorundasınız ama kim bilir belki ilerde daha başka bileşenler de yayınlanır.

Başlamadan Önce

Başlamadan önce kontrol etmeniz veya karar vermeniz bazı konular var, bunlar:

1. Joomla 1.5 iniz en son güncellemeleri kullanıyor mu? Joomla 1.5 serisinin hali hazırdaki en son sürümü 1.5.22. Sitenizi kontrol edip eğer daha düşük bir sürüm kullanıyorsanız güncellemeniz gerekecektir. Özellikle Joomla 1.5.11 veya daha düşük olanlar öutlaka yükseltmeliler.
2. Kullandüğünüz bütün bileşenlerin Joomla 1.6 sürümleri var mı?
3. Herhangi bir Joomla dosyasını düzenlediniz mi? Yaptığınız değişikliklerin kaybolacağını unutmayınız!
4. Kullandığınız template in Joomla 1.6 uyumlu sürümü mevcut mu? Unutmayın ki jUpgarde temalarını güncellemeyecektir.

6. Dosya güvenliklerini ayarlama ve değiştirme yetkiniz var mı? Daha doğrusu nasıl yapacağınızı biliyor musunuz?
7. En önemli soru: Sitenizi gerçekten Joomla 1.6 ya taşımalı mısınız? Joomla 1.5 oldukça gelişmiş ve güvenli durumda. Aceleniz yoksa acele etmeye gerek var mı? Joomla 1.5 e destek 1 yıl 3 ay daha devam edecek.

Joomla 1.6 dan 1.5 e 2 sebepten dolayı geçmek isteyebilirsiniz, bunlar: Access Control List (ACL) ve sınırsız kategori açabilme. ACL ise artık istediğiniz kullanıcı gruplarını açabilir ve siteniz içinde yetkilendirebilirsiniz. Mesela okul veya firmanız için çok rahatlıkla Intranet oluşturup sadece çalışanların görmesini sağlayabilirsiniz. fakat buna ihtiyacınızın olup olmayacağına siz karar vermelisiniz.

Adım 1: Yedekleme

Yedekleme adımını atlamanız yapabileceğiniz en büyük hatalardan biri olacaktır. Yedekleme almadan yapacağınız güncellemelerde yanlış giden bir sey olduğuında geriye alma ihtimaliniz yoktur. Dakikalarınızı vermekten kaçınıp yedekleme almazsanız daha sonrasında saatlerinizi kaybedebilirsiniz. Lütfen önce sitenizin yedeğini alın!

Adım 2: jUpgrade i indirin!

jUpgrade'in en son sürümünü http://www.matware.com.ar/downloads/joomla/jupgrade.html sitesinden indirin.

Adım 3: Test Ortamı (isteğe bağlı)

Eğer veri kaybetme korkusu yaşıyorsanız joomla 1.5 sitenizi kendi bilgisayarınıza kuracağınız local versiyonu ile güncelleme işlemine devam eder, kendinizie güveniniz gelince gerçek sitenizi taşımaya devam edersiniz. Sitenizin yedeğini almışsanız herhangi bir problemde sitenizi geri getirebileceğinizi unutmayınız!

Öncelikle http://symphony.lotus.com/software/lotus/symphony/Home.nsf/products adresinden IBM Lotus Symphony yi kullandığınız işletim sistemine göre indiriniz. İndirdiğiniz dosyaya tıklayarak kurulum aşamasına geçiniz!

Kurulum işlemi problemsiz bir şekilde sonuçlanırsa aşağıdaki ekrana tıklayarak Lotus Symphony yi başlatabileceksiniz!

Finish butonuna tıkladığınızda program açılacaktır.

Şimdi ise New Document a tıklayıp bir belge oluşturalım ve kaydedelim ki hangi formatlarda kayıt yapabildiğini de görelim.

Görüldüğü üzere açmış olduğunuz belge Open Offıce ve MS Office formatlarında kaydedilmektedir ki bu oldukça iyi bir avantaj, başka bir formatla da uğraşmak zorunda kalmayacağız . Spreadsheet (Excel) ve Presentations (Powerpoint) aynı formatlarda kaydediyor. Daha fazla ekran görüntüsü için yukarıda verilen siteyi ziyaret edebilirsiniz.

Son söze gelince; program Open Office iyi bir alternatif olabilir ama şimdiki durumu ile Open Office 3.1 daha kullanılabilir durumda gibi gözüküyor ama maalesef MS Office ile boy ölçüşebilecek düzeyde değil. Bununla beraber IBM Lotus Symphony'nin Open Office gibi ucuz olması neden MS Office para verelim gibi bir soruyu da akla getirmiyor değil!

Ellg, içerisinde facebook benzeri özellikler taşıdığı gibi okul içerisinde kendi ağınızda bir intranet uygulaması olarak kullanabileceğiniz açık kaynak kodlu bir web yazılımıdır.

Ellg yi çalıştırabilmek için kendi web serverınıza (Apache) ve biraz da teknik bilgiye ihtiyacınız var, bunlar;

• Apache web server aşağıdaki moduller ile bareber kurulmalı:
  • mod_rewrite
  • PHP 5
• MySQL 5+
• PHP 5.2+ Apache modulu olarak (CGI modta veya safe mod ta olmamalı) aşağıdaki kütüphanelerle beraber kurulmalı:
  • GD (grafik işlemleri, kullanıcı simgeleri ve Captcha için)
  • JSON (API desteği için)
  • Multibyte String support (başka dillerde kullanmak istiyorsanız gerekli)
  • SOAP (bazı modullerde gerekli)
  • DOM (bazı modullerde gerekli)
  • php.ini içerisinden PHP nin hafıza limitini 2M den 8M e çıkarmanız tavsiye edilir.
